I first found this abandoned stone house while out doing some exploring back in the summer time, however due to heavy foliage around the house it was very difficult to get a decent shot of the entire house. I decided to go and do a revisit this past week because I knew that the house would be more visible now that all the leaves are off the trees. Its amazing how different seasons can change an abandoned houses look and feel. In the middle of summer you would never even see this house hidden in trees in the middle of a farmers field, but in the fall this abandoned house stands proud for all to see.
This abandoned stone house sits between Woodstock and Innerkip along a back country road. Most likely and old homestead, there is some evidence of an old barn farther back in the farmers field. You can view the location of this abandoned house on our Abandoned Places in Ontario Map.
