Early Settlers Abandoned Homestead

Published

on

There is not much left of this old abandoned homestead that is well hidden in trees near Chatham-Kent. Time and nature are slowing absorbing this abandoned homestead it back into the earth. This is most likely the remnants of early settlers and pioneers in the area. I would have to say this house has been abandoned for at least 50 to 60 years maybe more based on its level of decay, but its quite interesting how vibrant the yellow paint is after all these years being exposed to the elements.

I love these old abandoned homesteads, they truly are a reminder of all the hard work these early pioneers did to help build and develop Ontario.
