Abandoned Houses

Ontario Abandoned House

Published

On my latest urban exploring trip I was up in the Bruce Peninsula, it is quite amazing just how many abandoned places are in that area. On some back roads you can easily spot 3 in one county block. The condition of the abandoned properties varies greatly from recently abandoned to ones that have been slowly decaying for the last half century. These homes are like giant time capsules into the past, you can get a small glimpse to what life was like.

This beautiful yellow abandoned home is located on Highways 6 just north of Mar Ontario. It looks to me to be abandoned maybe 20 or  25 years. I am only basing that by the old rotatory phone hanging on the wall. There is a large barn out back that has fully collapsed. I cant help but wonder what lead to the demise of this once beautiful farm and house.

You can view the location of this old abandoned house on our Abandoned Places Map.
